How to connect Microsoft 365 with MeetingRoomApp (EWS) / Basic Authentication (Obsolete)

Microsoft announced that starting on October 1, 2026, it will begin blocking EWS requests from non-Microsoft apps to Exchange Online.

This integration will be supported and maintained until October 1, 2026, but creating new integrations will be disabled beginning September 1, 2024 in the MeetingRoomApp Cloud. This not affect MeetingRoomApp On-prem.

Connect Microsoft Office 365 with MeetingRoomApp using EWS OAuth 2.0 or Basic Authentication (Obsolete).

To connect Microsoft 365 (EWS):

  1. Go to https://login.meetingroomapp.com/. If you haven’t created your MeetingRoomApp account yet, do so now and then log in.

  2. Click on Calendar Providers on the left.

  3. Click on Connect Microsoft 365.

  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the dialog box.

  5. Click on Continue with Exchange Web Services (EWS).

  6. Fill in the required information from the Azure App.

  7. Click on Save.

    To connect Microsoft 365 (Basic Authentication)–Obsolete:

  1. Go to https://login.meetingroomapp.com/. If you haven’t created your MeetingRoomApp account yet, do so now and then log in.

  2. Click on Calendar Providers on the left.

  3. Click on Connect Microsoft 365.

  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the dialog box.

  5. Click on Continue with Exchange Web Services (EWS).

  6. Make sure you enable Basic Authentication.

  7. Fill in the required information.

  8. Click on Save.
